Comedian and actor Kevin Hart is enjoying a great run of success. Between his stand up movies like Laugh At My Pain, Ford commercials and even a rom-com Think Like A Man, you’d think he could do no wrong. But in this interview with The Breakfast club he talks about how much rejection he’s suffered on the way to critical acclaim.
“I’ve been a part of six or seven canceled TV shows,” he says. “My shows have been canceled so violently. I remember ABC picked up my show called “The Big House.” They told me the show was picked up and flew me out to the upfronts to announce the fall season. I was creator, executive producer…I was gettin’ all kinds of checks so I flew the cast with me..It wasn’t about me, I had a cast. I got my suit on, they about to go live on TV, I get ready to step out and this white guy with a head set put his hand on my chest and said ‘Mr. Hart they’re not picking it up, move to the side. Somebody will come to out to explain it to you. We’ll pay for your flight back.’ I said what about my cast? And they said ‘we didn’t bring them.’”

He also discusses the friendly “beef” with Mike Epps on Twitter .

“Oh man I killed Mike. It was fun. That’s why my dumb ass put my number on Twitter trying to DM him. I got 69,000 missed calls. It’s all in fun. It’s never malicious. Mike will jones all day. I don’t think that I have haters and if I did I don’t wanna know.”

It’s official. Twitter has taken over as the trash talking medium of the world. Undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather publicly challenged Manny Pacquiao to a fight on the social network.

“Manny Pacquiao I’m calling you out,” he wrote. “Let’s fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see.”

Pacquiao vs Mayweather is the one boxing match that fans want to see. Mayweather has never taken a loss and Pacquiao is the one fighter many think can end that streak.

Mayweather was supposed to serve a 90 day sentence for domestic violence, but in a strange twist of irony, a judge a greed to postpone the jail sentence to give Mayweather an opportunity to fight.

“My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in,” he taunted. “Step up Punk.”

Mayweather’s last fight ended with a controversial knock out of Victor Ortiz where he dropped the fighter to the canvas after Ortiz dropped his guard. The bell had rung signaling the start of the round so the punches were legal.

It was the “n***ab***h” heard ’round the world. The Dutch magazine Jackie decided to run a story on Rihanna’s sassy style and thought that humorous eye-catching title was the way to go. The editor-in-chief (now former), Eva Hoeke, was going for laughs, and more than likely higher readership, when she decided to publish the seriously rude title to her style guide to dressing your daughter like Rihanna. Well, the joke’s on her because shortly after Rihanna caught wind of the insult, Hoeke stepped down as editor. Embarrassing.

Seeing as how “n***ab***h” is not in the Webster dictionary, nor is it a frequently-used insult, we’ll just have to verify whether or not our favorite good girl gone bad is actually a “n***ab***h” with the good old Urban Dictionary.

Niggabitch: a black person that is a b***h or a person who is acting gay or stuck-up. Used as a gerneral insult.

1. F**k You!

Uhm, Rih, we know you’re a rebel (read: bitch) and all and you can’t control when you’ll run into a group of kid fans, but clearly this necklace is a bit more TV-MA than PG-13. You’ve got to think twice before posing with the kiddies!

2. Girl-On-Girl-On-Girl Action

“Acting gay?” I’d say so. Rihanna’s been known for her girl-on-girl moments and they always seem to be caught on camera. If we’re defining “n***ab***h” by the Urban Dictionary’s standards, Rihanna’s is Queen – because you know, she acts gay.

3. To Mock a Songbird

Rihanna always seems to involve herself in a heavy dose of Twitter beef. Her argument with Ciara stemmed from Ciara’s comments about Rihanna not being the “nicest” person anymore and Rihanna took to Twitter to respond in the stuck-up and rude way that only a true “n***ab***h” can master. Since the tweet beef, the two songbirds have made up, but according to TMZ, it was forced by Rihanna’s people.

Rihanna tweeted, “ My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme.”

“Trust me Rihanna u don’t want to see me on or off the stage” Ciara tweeted.

Rihanna responded, “Good luck with booking that stage u speak of.”

I know you all love Rihanna, but I couldn’t help myself with this one. All jokes aside, the obscure marriage of the word “n***a” and “b***h” make for the ultimate insult to one of the music industry’s biggest pop icons. Sure, Rihanna may dress a little risque, be a bit loose with her tongue via her lyrics and her Twitter account, and yes, she loves flirting with women, but we also know that throwing out racial slurs – that aren’t really relevant or sensible – will lead you straight to an unemployment line. Lesson learned. So, who ended up getting the last laugh, Eva Hoeke?

For some more laughs, here are a few definitions (courtesy or Urban dictionary) of “n***ab***h” that don’t quite define Rihanna.
A big black sassy woman usually works at a dmv or at dollar general.
A n***a that act like a b***h.. as in it’s his time of the month.
A fool, someone you don’t particualarly like and can’t tolerate for more than a few minutes at a time.
A Transsexual, Shemale, etc. Someone who is a man but wants to be or acts/pretends to be like a female.
A big black girl that tries to act tough, usually fat and has a forehead the size of a Hummer windshield.

The way we get our news has clearly changed. These days, Twitter is averaging 230 million Tweets per day. That’s up 110 percent since January. Though 40 percent of Twitter’s 100 million active users only sign in to read what’s up with everyone else, those users are connected to a community like no other; a community that, according to PCmag.com, includes “75 percent of the NBA’s players, 50 percent of the NFL, 82 percent of the U.S. House and 85 percent of the Senate; 87 percent of the Billboard Top 100 Musicians, and 93 percent of the top Food Network chefs.”

It’s a good thing, too, because when Kevin Durant got bored during this year’s NBA lockout, he used Twitter to find somebody to play with. “This lockout is boring… anybody playing flag football in Okc…I need to run around or something!” he tweeted. A student at Oklahoma State responded, inviting him to join his Sigma Nu team as quarterback in an intramural game. Within hours, @KDTrey5 arrived and threw four TDs.

It makes sense then that detractors, who side with journalistic purists and cite pervasive erroneous spelling and grammar and spambot-generated fake accounts in denying the power of social media, must also bow down to the way that writing in 140 characters has transformed communication.

1. DEATH OF A POP STAR

Heavy D, Teena Marie, and Amy Whinehouse’s deaths were on Twitter before mainstream media confirmed the news. Grandmaster Flash announced Heavy D’s death: “I was just told Heavy D passed away.” Sheila E. reported details on Teena Marie’s death: “They just took her body from her home. Teena Marie found dead by her daughter whos BD was yesterday. pray 4 her & her family.” Amy Whinehouse’s death, Tweeted just 20 minutes after she was found, was news even before her father was made aware. 2. OSAMA BIN TRODDEN

Before the official, late-night White House press conference announcing the Navy SEAL raid of Osama bin Laden’s Pakistani hideout, @ReallyVirtual unknowingly Tweeted the covert mission: “Helicopter hovering above Abbottabad at 1AM (is a rare event);” and Keith Urbahn, chief of staff for former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Tweeted news of bin Laden’s death: “So I’m told by a reputable person they have killed Osama Bin Laden. 3. QUESTLOVE’S RIDE

@questlove of The Roots Tweeted a warning to Occupy Wall Street approximately a half hour before NYPD swept Zuccotti Park, making more than 100 arrests and breaking down the camp. “Omg, drivin down south st near #ows. Somethin bout to go down yo, swear I counted 1000 riot gear cops bout to pull sneak attack #carefulyall.” By normal business hours, his midnight ride made him known as the modern day Paul Revere and the raid became one of the top news stories of the day. 4. MIRACLE ON THE HUDSON

Four minutes after US Airways flight 1549 unexpectedly landed in the Hudson River in January 2009, @Manolantern Tweeted: “I’ve just watched a plane crash into the Hudson river in Manhattan.” Another user used Twitpic to release a photo of passengers on the wings, writing: “There’s a plane in the Hudson. I’m on the ferry going to pick up the people. Crazy.” No people died, but the Canadian Geese who flew into and disabled the engines did. [stylist.co.uk]

5. DISCOVERY CHANNEL DRAMA

When an armed James Jay Lee broke into the headquarters of the Discovery Channel in Silver Spring, MD, Tweets emerged – including photos of the incident – even before he took three hostages. Employees used social media to connect with family and friends as the crime unfolded and eventually officers took control, and then shot and killed Lee. [techradar.com]

6. THE LOOP IN THE KIDNAPPERS’ CLAWS

Journalists will break a news story even when they’re the subject of the headline. After kidnapping and holding Japanese journalist Kosuke Tsuneoka for five months in captivity, and threatening the Japanese government with his death, an Islamist militant group allowed Kosuke Tsuneoka to use Twitter, reportedly to get their news updates. Instead, he broke news that he was “still alive, but in jail.” He was freed soon after, although it is unclear why. [switched.com]

7. MARTIAN FLAVORED WATER ICE

Tweeting on behalf of an unmanned space flight, Mars Phoenix, one of NASA’s Manger of News Services, Veronica McGregor announced a critical moment in space history: the discovery of ice on the planet. “Are you ready to celebrate? Well, get ready: We have ICE!!!!! Yes, ICE, *WATER ICE* on Mars! w00t!!! Best day ever!” [wired.com]

8. GROUNDBREAKING NEWS

Twitter was the main source of journalistic movement for the 2008 earthquakes that shook the U.K. (in February) and Japan (in May), and when one occurred in Turkey in 2011, it was Twitter that helped in the rescue missions. One follower of a local news anchor Tweeted, “Ercis central mosque behind the apartment building…” The anchor sent the message to a relief agency and two people were found trapped alive. Incorporating Twitter feeds into their coverage, U.K. daily, The Guardian collated journalists’ Tweets for live micro-blogging of the 2009 and protests such as “At least 600 people converged at Bank of England now. ‘They say warfare, we say welfare. They say get back, we say fight back’ #g20,” and “Police just intercepted a tank. Yes, a tank! CNN also took to Twitter to stay ahead of itself as part of the mainstream media. Teasing an interview to later be aired on the network, an executive producer Tweeted Hillary Clinton’s announcement that she “would NOT be in an Obama 2nd term cabinet.” [msnbc.com]

Film and television actress, Regina King, will add Social Media Ambassador to her resume. King will be the face of the Screen Actors Guild Awards to their online audience. Regina will update SAG’s Facebook and Twitter feeds as the ceremony airs live. This gives fans an access to the show like they’ve never had before.

King will announce the nominations on December 14th on TNT.tv and TBS.com. In the weeks leading up to the telecast, she will update Facebook and Twitter feeds discussing behind the scenes preparations for the show and also divulge information on who will be presenting. A cool part of King’s Ambassador role is that she will be able to discuss red carpet fashions as the stars arrive.

Earlier this week Ice-T’s wife Coco made headlines when she had a wardrobe malfunction at a Richie Rich fashion show. Anyone who follows Coco on twitter (@cocosworld) knows she is hardly shy when it comes to her chesticles, but wanted to explain that this was NOT done purposely.

“I walked the runway for the Richie Rich Fashion yesterday and I didn’t have a proper fitting and the silky dress I wore slipped down under my boob,” she wrote. ” My right boob popped out like it was trying to say hello to everybody but I quickly stuffed it back in then acted like nothing happened. I swear I didn’t mean for my boob slip to happen. It was just as shocking to me. But hey, sometimes you have to say it is ‘T*tty Tuesday.’”

Coco has a weekly event on her Twitter feed dedicated to her boobs and another on Thursdays featuring photos of her in thongs. However, she felt this DD-Cup display was not intentional and should not be taken too seriously.

“I woke up this morning and it’s the news of the century for some odd reason. People bombarded me with calls, emails…I’m like come on, seriously. IT’S A BOOB! We all have them. Can’t we talk about starvation in the world or Cancer?”

We could, but it wouldn’t be nearly as entertaining as “T*tty Tuesday.” Despite her insisting it wasn’t important, she later posted a video of the clip on Youtube, which was removed.
