With four albums under his belt, Dwele’s fifth is shaping up to be more of the same.
The Detroit singer’s upcoming fifth album, W.W.W. (W.ants W.orld W.omen), due out June 29th, seems to be following the same formula of his other releases.
While Dwele is an incredibly gifted producer and musician, when it comes to his lyrics, they are often cringe inducing and make me feel embarrassed for him having to sing them (case in point, 2007′s “Flapjacks“)
The latest leak from W.W.W. is no exception. “I Wish” seems like a blunted stream of consciousness ramble set to music.
Maybe Dwele should consider taking a cue from Elton John and find his own Bernie Taupin.
