Tom Joyner founder of Reach Media Inc., the Tom Joyner Foundation, Black America Web.com, and host of the nationally syndicated “Tom Joyner Morning Show”, is one of the most influential, inspirational, and dynamic personalities in the country.

This 1999 Hall of Fame inductee from Tuskegee, Alabama has ignited a sense of pride in the hearts of eight million listeners in more than 115 radio markets, instilling in us the significance of unity and giving back to one’s community.

Tom Joyner began his broadcasting career in Montgomery, Alabama at WRMA-AM immediately after graduation. With a Bachelor of Science in Sociology in hand, he ventured into several other markets, includng WLOK-AM in Memphis, KWK-AM in St. Louis, KKDA-FM in Dallas, and four different stations in Chicago.

In the mid-1980’s Joyner made his claim to fame when he accepted simultaneous positions as “Morning Drive Man” at Dallas’ KKDA and “Afternoon Drive Man” at Chicago’s WGCI. Attended SIUE 4 years and started working for KATZ st louis in 1968 I worked there for 3 years. Worked at KWK,Wesl.I became vp-gm at wesl as well as PD for 13 years.IN 1986 I became vp gm at KATZ am-fm.In 1993 I began work at KXOK and then to Magic 108 st. louis. I was allowed to do the sunday7-12m show which became the higest rated radio show in st louis(36 share)I have done jazz at kzjz st louis.In 2000 I was doing 6a-10am and kzjz won the Peobody for jazz.Between 1968 and 2009, I have had 3 TV shows on TV30 and 0ne on KMOV st.louis.The show on KMOV started in 1988 on the same night as the Orsenio show started-I beat him in the ratings!!

I do have about 40 gold records from the music industry. From Michael Jackson to the Sugarhill Gang and the Bee Gees.Awards;Naacp Legend Award 2008, GM of the year 1984 1986 from the Jack The Rapper annual convention.

I have been at Radio- One St. Louis since 2007 and loving every minute of it.

Out of all the books she has read, she say the Bible is her favorite book, because no matter what you are looking for suspense, mystery, love, whatever the Bible has it all-if you open it and read it!

Niecy favorite place on earth to vacation is the Islands (any of them, but she is partial to Jamaica since she has had mega good times there). Her favorite movie would have to be Pulp Fiction, because when it first came out in theaters she was the only one in the theaters laughing out loud!
