Amare Stoudemire’s Brother Dies In Car Crash!

The older brother of New York Knick Amare Stoudemire, Hazell, died early this morning in a car accident in Florida.

According to TMZ, the crash happened on Route 27 in Lake Wales. Hazell Stoudemire was driving at a “high rate of speed,” according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Stoudemire rear ended a tractor trailer and died on impact. He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.

For those who aren’t sports fanatics, the reason they tune into the Super Bowl is for the commercials. The ads were a little weak this year, which made it easy to pick favorites. The Urban Daily decided to highlight five of the best commercials of the 2012 Super Bowl. Sorry, ladies, David Beckham’s H&M ad did not make this list. I feel like I need to throw a “pause” somewhere in here for even mentioning it.

Just when Conrad Murray thought his life couldn’t get any worse, it does. Out of the 4,000 male prisoners in the L.A. County jail, Murray got placed in a cell with Janet Jackson’s first husband, James DeBarge.

DeBarge is known from the popular 80s family group, DeBarge. He was arrested for drug charges and assault with a deadly weapon. DeBarge was placed in Administrative Segregation, which is where inmates are housed who are famous or have security problems. Murray has been staying in the Administrative Segregation block since being convicted of manslaughter in connection with Michael Jackson’s death in November.

According to TMZ, the two run into each other randomly. DeBarge and Murray recently ran into one another when meeting with their respective lawyers. DeBarge’s attorney, Spencer Vodnoy says Janet’s ex-husband is very upset residing in the same block with the man who was involved in the death of Michael Jackson. Although Janet and DeBarge were married less than a year, he considered Michael Jackson family.

How about James DeBarge concentrate on staying clean and out of jail before worrying about Conrad Murray’s whereabouts?

Ne-Yo allegedly cheated on his fiancee Monyetta Shaw while she was pregnant with their second child last year. MTO is reporting that Ne-Yo was creeping on Monyetta and is apparently still having an affair with Miami stripper Dimepiece and have the pics to prove it.

Ne-Yo still makes regular trips to Miami to see the biggest earner at the King Of Diamonds strip joint.

Simon Cowell Offers Beyonce $100 Million To Be ‘X Factor’ Judge

With Beyonce being a first-time mom, she wants to stay in one place for the first few years of Blue Ivy Carter’s life. Simon Cowell is looking to capitalize on that by getting Beyonce to sign on as a full-time judge on the American version of The X Factor. It was reported Cowell was looking to get Mariah Carey to replace Paula Abdul as judge. However, he’s having second thoughts after Nick Cannon’s “Mariah is too legendary” comment because he feels she isn’t as relevant as she once was.

Simon wants Beyonce because she is the biggest pop star in the world at this point and her involvement in the show would give it the boost to smash American Idol in ratings. Bey is familiar with the show. She’s performed on the British version and even mentored Alexandra Burke, who went on to win the British title. No comment has been made about the rumored deal from the Knowles-Carter camp.

Mos Def To Reprise Samuel L. Jackson Role In “Jackie Brown” Prequel

Yasiin Bey, aka Mos Def, has been tapped to star in the upcoming Jackie Brown prequel Switch alongside actor John Hawkes.

According to Variety, the outspoken “rapter” will star as the younger version of Ordell Robbie, originally played by Samuel L. Jackson. Set 15 years before the events in “Jackie Brown,” the story follows career criminals Ordell and Louis as they team up to kidnap Mickey Dawson, the wife of a corrupt Detroit real estate developer.

Mos has proven to be one of hip-hops better actors, this season appearing on the series “Dexter” and having roles in The Italian Job, 16 Blocks and more under his belt.

Don Cornelius and his ex-wife, Viktoria Chapman Cornelius, did not end their union on good terms. Towards the end of their marriage, the late television icon was convicted of domestic abuse. She was also believed to have pepper sprayed him multiple times. Though the two finalized their divorce in 2009, Chapman will be the one who pockets from two of his life insurance policies totaling $300,000 in benefits.

TMZ reports that there’s a provision in their settlement agreement that says Don has to make Viktoria the beneficiary of both of his life insurance policies. And under Cali law, if the policyholder commits suicide within two years, the company can void payment. Don passed that mark, as per the agreement, it’s Viktoria’s money.
