Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston ,Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area.
When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.
As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, ‘You’d better give the quarter back. It would be
wrong to keep it.’ Then he thought, ‘Oh, forget it it’s only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a ‘gift from GOD’ and keep quiet.’

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, ‘Here,you gave me too much change ..’

The driver, with a smile, replied, ‘Aren’t you the new preacher in town?’

‘Yes’ he replied.

‘Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I’ll see you at church on Sunday.’

When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, heldon, and
said, ‘Oh GOD, I almost sold YOUR SON for a quarter.’

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as CHRISTians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard — and remember — You carry the name of CHRIST on your shoulders when you call yourself ‘CHRISTian.’

Watch your thoughts ; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
WatcH your actions; they become habits..
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

A better job
A better realtionship
Better finances
We must learn to bloom where we are planted.
Do the best job possible at your current job.
Be the best you can be in your realtionship.
Mange the finances you have currently.
Learn to be satisfied with what you have now. Bloom where you are planted be thankful in your current situation. That does not mean stop dreaming, stop striving it means appreciate where you are so when you get more it will mean more to you.

In our daily lives it seems that there is a big demand for our time and attention. It seems as though somebody always needs something from us. Too often we try to accommodate everybody, eventually something falls though the cracks. It is important to learn the art of saying NO we can’t be all things to all people. We have to govern ourselves and our time accordingly. Saying No does not mean you don’t care -so stop feeling guilty to exercise your right to say “NO”

Only God Can Give You Financial Security

But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today. Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)

“When I turn on the water, I don’t really think the water comes from the faucet. In the same way, the source of my finances is God, not my job. ”

As you enter your Decade of Destiny, it is important that you trust God with your finances. If you want God to bless you financially, you must remain focused on the truth that he is the source of your finances and he is the one who supplies your needs.

What does that mean? It means I’m not looking to an employer for my security. I’m not looking to my savings for security. I’m not looking to anyone or anything other than God to supply my needs.

Let me illustrate it this way: When I turn on the water, I don’t really think the water comes from the faucet. I know that the water really comes from a reservoir. It just comes to me through the faucet. In the same way, the income that God wants to give you may come through a job or through something else.

But the source is God.

If you trust in a bank account, the bank account can be taken away. If you trust in your savings, you can lose it. The only true security you can have is when you put your trust in God. He is the starting point of your finances. He is the one and only true source of your finances.

This means you don’t need to worry about which faucet he uses to supply your needs. In a sense he says, ‘If I turn off one faucet, I can just as easily turn on another. If you lose one job, I can give you another. I am your source, not your job. I am your source, not your bank account.’
