(According to USA Today) Coleman was hospitalized Wednesday after falling and suffering a head injury at his home south of Salt Lake City, according to family members. He died Friday at age 42. The diminutive actor was best known for his role on TV’s Diff’rent Strokes. He played precocious Arnold Jackson, who, with his brother Willis (Todd Bridges), was adopted by a wealthy, white Manhattan man (Conrad Bain) and his daughter (Dana Plato).

Janelle Monae hit up the Late Show With David Letterman last night to promote her new album The ArchAndroid. Monae, who’s about to hit the road with Erykah Badu and N.E.R.D., gave a rousing performance of “Tightrope” that saw her shuffle around, whip off her jacket and then finally don a robe, James Brown-style, while soulfully belting out the end of the song. Letterman even coaxed Diddy to come on stage when Monae finished (she’s signed to the rap mogul’s Bad Boy label).

Swizz Beatz denied that he owed Mashonda the money and said that he agreed to pay more than the judge and even his lawyers recommended.

“I gave over what the judge was recommending to give. I gave her $700,000 upfront, because I thought $200,000 wasn’t enough for what she wanted to do. I still get spit in my face for it,” Swizz said.

Swizz lashed out at his ex-wife, claiming that he was frustrated over Mashonda’s use of the media as their divorce played out.

Not that his ouster was too much of a shock for the football star — the Cincinnati Bengals player was the only one of the final four celebrity dancers who had zero previous dance training, even though his improvements continued to impress the judges week after week. Ochocinco joked that he’d be back next year “as a professional.”

“This was awesome,” Ochocinco said after being eliminated. “I enjoyed the journey. I met some wonderful people. I got some great criticism that’s only made me stronger … and I’ll miss ‘em all, especially the beautiful Cheryl Burke. And in my eyes really, I’ve already won.”
