Toni teams up with other celebs for “We Are The World” remake

Just weeks after Rihanna and Matt Kemp were photographed sucking face in Mexico, Matt has come forward saying that they’re “just friends”:

“I can’t get distracted by that,” Kemp said about the buzz over his Baja trip. “My job is to get my work in, which I’ve been doing. Nothing distracts me from my job, not the contract, or my personal life. When it’s time to play baseball, that’s my job. No distractions.”

Kemp said Rihanna is “just a friend,” that he was shocked that their hookup made headlines. “That wasn’t the plan,” Kemp said. “She’s just a friend, a good friend of mine and we went down to Mexico and had fun together.

“I didn’t think all that would come out of it, it just happened. I’m not used to that much attention to my personal life. It’s really not that big a deal. But in L.A., doing things here, you’re under a microscope, they’re examining everything you’re doing. It’s L.A., man, the city we live in. It is what it is. Can’t control what happens.”

Singer, songwriter & guitarist Kwanza Jones is about to become a household name.  The singer is preparing the release of her upcoming album “Supercharged” this spring and we’re loving what we’re hearing.

Kwanza recently joined Beyonce, Katie Ford, Halle Berry, Lee Daniels and more in support of ‘Girls Are Not for Sale’ Campaign, which is part of GEMS Organization. She’s set to appear in the music video for charity single “This is to Mother You” featuring Sinead O’Connor and Mary J. Blige which will debut next month.

Originally from Washington, DC, she won the title Miss Baltimore and later attended Princeton University, yup the same school as First Lady Michelle Obama, so you know the girl is smart!!!

The new Alicia Keys and Beyonce music video for ‘Put It In A Love Song’ is said to have an upbeat and vibrant Carnival-inspired theme. As reported previously, the video shoot is taking place tomorrow in the South American nation of Rio de Janeiro.

A Brazilian newspaper even goes on to say that the clip will be shot against the backdrop of Rio’s landscape, including a slum, a school, and the Sambadrome where Carnival parades are held. The two R&B songstresses are expected to be outfitted in Carnival-inspired costumes, including Swarovski headwear.

‘Put It in a Love Song’ is the third single to be lifted from Alicia’s fourth studio album ‘The Element of Freedom’, which is currently No. 11 on the Billboard 200. Rio has also provided the backdrop for other notable videos including Michael Jackson’s ‘They Don’t Care About Us’.

André Leon Talley has already finished filming the fourteenth season of America’s Next Top Model. He replaces J. Alexander on the judging panel. (Miss J will only be returning to fix the contestants’ busted runway walks.)

Tyra Banks first approached Andre Leon Talley to be on “America’s Next Top Model” eight years ago. “At that point,” he told WWD, “I said no because it was the beginning. I was thinking I wanted to see where it goes.” Fast forward to 2010 and cycle 14 of the show, which premieres March 10 on The CW, with Talley on the judging panel:

“I felt maybe I could contribute something to it that had not been on the show. I just felt that it was a way to step out of the box and associate myself with a very important American success story, a very important brand — Tyra Banks.”

GLAM OR GROSS? Andre’s Ready To Fly Away

He’d never watched the show when he said yes, but he had “no hesitations at all,” and has signed on for three cycles. He also has a show wardrobe of 13 custom-made Chado Ralph Rucci capes, varying only in color or fabric.

He also created a catchphrase for the show: “dreckitude,” from one of his “favorite” words, dreck, and “quackitude.” He explained: “‘Dreckitude’ was whipped out when I thought the challenge was not met or if [the contestants] showed up in perhaps an outfit that I just couldn’t wrap my mind around.”

Even Tyra Banks felt intimidated.

“This is the most clean you will ever see me in the history of ‘Top Model,’” she said. “I am wearing a chignon every single day. I went back to Yves Saint Laurent 1991, honey. I said, ‘This is André Leon Talley! No earrings, no nothing. Just me and the gahhment.’”
